Lysi

The village of Lysi… located in the heart of Mesaoria… famous for its Halloumi and Souvla… The infamous Lysiotiko Halloumi and Lysiotiki Souvla… Unfortunately it is under the Turkish occupation since 1974. It is always dear in our hearts though and we are still enjoying its fruits…

I will try and find some pictures and post later…

Some interesting facts about Lysi:

1. The biggest village of Famagusta by population in 1974
2. The first football stadium with grass in Cyprus was in Lysi, home of ASIL.
